Students from Compass Montessori Junior High visit Traverse City Fencing Club

An early spring snowfall did not dampen the excitement for students of Compass Montessori Junior High, as they gathered for a fencing class at Traverse City Fencing Club. Upwards of 20 students learned fencing footwork and tactical weapon strategies from Coach Robert and Coach Laurie. Learning fencing is necessary but the real fun starts when they are suited up in protective clothing and a weapon in their hand. Many students had the pleasure of fencing with Mr. Sturman and Mr. Mass. Yes, you can strike them with your weapon and not be in trouble. It was a pleasure to have these students visit Traverse City Fencing Club.
